The present invention relates to a method for retrieving a file, the method comprising: receiving a portion of content transmitted according to a multicast protocol through a file delivery service as content including data fragments forming a file; step; receiving a file delivery table (FDT) from the file delivery service; reading in the file delivery table location attributes indicating the location of the data fragments in the file; and determining, from the location attributes, the location of non-corrupted data fragments within the portion of the content.
