The invention relates to a composition for its use for the prophylaxis of microbial pathologies affecting the growth of farmed insects, said composition consisting essentially of at least one strain of lactic acid bacteria, said strain being chosen from: - a strain NOL11 such as CNCM on March 14, 2012 under the number CNCM I - 4609, and - a strain of lactic acid bacteria belonging to the same operational taxonomic unit (OTU) as said strain NOL11, or a mixture of these strains.
