The present invention relates to a bottle envelope (1) for a bottle (5), in particular a bottle for sparkling wine, such as a bottle for sparkling wine or champagne. The bottle casing (1) comprises a casing base body (2) which extends from a first end (3) of the casing base body (2) to a second end (8) of the casing base body (2). The casing base body (2) forms, between the first end (3) and the second end (8), a neck part (9) which is intended to receive the bottle neck (6) and which has a neck opening (10) at the location of the second end (8).
