The invention proposes a method for verifying the human character of a user for access to a service (20) from an access terminal (10), the method being implemented by a verification entity (40) and comprising: - the transmission (200), on receipt of a request for verification (VRF) of the human character of a user sent by the service (20), of a request (REQ) for authentication of the user from an authentication terminal (30), the authentication request (REQ) controlling authentication of the user by the authentication terminal; - obtaining (400), in response to the authentication request (REQ), of an authentication confirmation (AUTH) of the user with the authentication terminal (30), and - the transmission (600), with the service (20), of a confirmation (HUM ) of the human character of the user.
