The invention discloses a device (IDG) for accommodating a component (KO). The device has a housing (GH) comprising a housing wall (GHW, GHW2), which delimits an interior space (IR) of the housing (GH), and also comprising a through-passage portion (DAS) in the housing wall (GHW). The component which is to be accommodated in the interior space comprises a contact element (TE) having an actuating portion (BA) and a retaining portion (HA), which is mechanically connected to the actuating portion and has at least one latching hook (RH) with a latching nose (RN). The component also has a holder (HT), which has a latching edge (RK), wherein, with the component (KO) accommodated in the interior space (IR), the actuating portion (BA) is arranged in a first state in the through-passage portion of the housing wall, and for the purpose of reaching a second state, in which the actuating portion is located in the interior space, the latter can be displaced into the interior space such that the latching nose of the at least one latching hook engages over the latching edge of the holder. The resulting latching connection prevents displacement of the actuating portion in the direction of the through-passage portion of the housing wall and allows damage-free dismantling or removal.
