The present invention relates to an electric vehicle having a recuperation apparatus and having a touch-sensitive operating element (2) for adjusting a degree of recuperation of the recuperation apparatus. In order to improve the adjustment of a degree of recuperation of a recuperation apparatus of an electric vehicle by means of a touch-sensitive operating element (2), according to the invention the operating element (2) is arranged in a driver-side footwell of the electric vehicle such that the operating element (2) can be actuated by means of a foot of a vehicle driver in a touch-sensitive manner. The invention furthermore relates to an accelerator pedal (4) for an electric vehicle and to a method for adjusting a degree of recuperation of a recuperation apparatus of an electric vehicle.
