A radial press in yoke press design comprises a lower yoke (2), two tie rods (3) guided through this along their axis (ZA) and an upper yoke (4) which is fixed to the tie rods (3) and connects them to one another. A drive unit (5) acts on the tie rods (3), and a pressing tool (8) is provided in an installation space (E) defined between the two yokes (2, 4) and defined by support surfaces (6) and control surfaces (7) several press bodies (9) which are arranged around a press axis (PA) and are at least partially force-transmitting on the support surfaces (6) or the control surfaces (7) of the yokes (2, 4). Each press body (9) comprises a base jaw, and all of the base jaws define a tool center plane perpendicular to the press axis (PA). According to the invention, this is different from the tie-rod plane spanned by the axes (ZA) of the two tie-rods (3).
