A soundproofing member that is a molded body having liquid crystal polyester as a forming material, the soundproofing member having a core layer formed as the inner layer of the molded body, and an orientation layer formed as a surface layer of the molded body, and being such that the liquid crystal polyester forming the orientation layer is oriented to a greater extent than the liquid crystal polyester forming the core layer, and the ratio of the elasticity of the core layer to the elasticity of the molded body is 0.60-0.95 (inclusive).
