Methods and systems for single-purpose public keys for public ledgers

A method at a computing device in a public ledger cryptosystem comprising: generating an object string defining transaction parameters for an account in the public ledger cryptosystem; generating a private key and an associated public key for an account in a public ledger encryption system using the object string; and providing the object string for use in validation of a transaction from an account in the public ledger cryptosystem.
