A method and apparatus for automatically detecting a pectoralis major region in a molybdenum target image. The method comprises: pre-processing a molybdenum target image to be detected, and obtaining a pre-processed molybdenum target image; inputting the pre-processed molybdenum target image into a pre-trained pectoralis major region detection model, and obtaining a probability image of a pectoralis major region; and performing post-processing on the probability image of the pectoralis major region, and obtaining a pectoralis major region segmentation result. The pectoralis major region detection model is obtained by performing training on the basis of a pre-processed molybdenum target image sample and a pectoralis major segmentation gold standard corresponding to the molybdenum target image sample.
