FIELD: electric power equipment. ;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for noise diagnostics of electric power equipment (EPE). Essence: according to the control method, the defectiveness of the equipment is determined by its electromagnetic radiation. First of all, informative frequency bands are determined that characterize the technical condition of the main structural elements of the controlled EPE. Then, the energy spectra of radiation of vertical polarization from the controlled EPE are recorded and filtered from high-Q radiation. On the basis of the registered and filtered spectra, the energy spectra of the reference EPE emissions are compiled by separating among the available spectra the lowest intensities of electromagnetic oscillations for each measured frequency. A conclusion is formed on the degree of defectiveness of each element of the controlled EPE and on the complete defectiveness by comparing with the standards of the qualification properties of quasi-harmonic electromagnetic oscillations within the informative frequency bands characterizing the main structural elements of the controlled EPE. In this case, to assess the degree of defectiveness of the external structural elements of the EPE, the energy spectra of low-quality radiation are used.;EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of EPE defectiveness diagnostics. ;1 cl, 5 dwg
