A battery bank-based electric vehicle fast charging system is provided. The electric vehicle rapid charging system according to an embodiment of the present invention receives electric energy from a battery bank including a plurality of batteries and a power distribution grid in a slow charging manner and sequentially or parallelly charges individual batteries of the battery bank. It includes a control system, and a group-type fast charging device capable of rapidly charging multiple electric vehicles at the same time by receiving the electric energy stored in the battery bank. According to the present invention, even when a large amount of power is consumed by rapidly charging several electric vehicles at the same time, a shock is not applied to the power distribution grid.
