To make it possible to suppress a load variation of a power source without switching a capacitance and an inductance when heating while passing a specific type of steel sheet followed by a steel sheet with lower permeability.SOLUTION: The induction heating device is configured to heat a plurality of different types of steel sheets with different magnetic properties by an inductive current generated by a magnetic field generated by applying a high-frequency current to a solenoid coil. When heating a specific type of steel sheet among the plurality of types of steel sheets, impedance is set so that a power factor becomes maximum in an equivalent circuit seen from a power source. At a time of the setting, a ratio (ZR/ZωL) of impedance (ZR) due to electric resistance of the equivalent circuit to impedance (ZωL) due to inductance of the equivalent circuit is set to 0.008 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
