To predict the recurrence of middle ear cholesteatoma in children who have undergone sanitizing operations on the middle ear for chronic purulent otitis media with cholesteatoma, the presence of neutrophilic leukocytes in the histological intraoperative material is investigated. The cell composition is visualized; the vessels of the microcirculatory bed in the perimatrix of the cholesteatoma are counted by morphometry.
