FIELD: filters.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of manufacture of panel-type air filters used for separating suspended solid and liquid particles from the air in rooms with higher requirements for dust content in the air. The method of manufacture of an air filter includes using a roll of filtering material and a profile made of extruded anodized aluminium and equipped with an inner side, a first edge, a second edge and two protrusions, wherein the first edge and the second edge are made forming a U-shaped cross-section of the profile and the protrusions are located on the second edge on the side opposing the first edge forming a groove between the two protrusions and the second edge, the profile is cut into elements, followed by the first, second and third elements being connected forming a U-shaped structure, the corners of the U-shaped structure are then pasted over from the outside with an adhesive aluminium tape closing the gaps on the outside of each corner, the U-shaped structure, the fourth element and a roll of filtering material are then placed in an airlock, held in the airlock and then moved to a clean room, the filtering material is then pleated and a part thereof is cut forming a filtering element, followed by an adhesive composition being applied to the inner side of the second element and the filtering element being installed in the U-shaped structure using the adhesive composition, the fourth element is then connected to the U-shaped structure forming a frame around the filtering element. The adhesive is then applied to the joints of the filtering element with the inner side of each element on both sides from the plane of the filtering element and the frame with the filtering element is held until the applied adhesive is polymerised. The adhesive composition is applied using a first robotic manipulator. A sealing agent in a liquid state is applied into the groove by means of a second robotic manipulator, and manufacture of the filter is completed by holding the frame with the filtering element to polymerise the sealing agent. The filter is moved to the testing area in the aerosol efficiency testing tool, then the filter is placed in a bag, the filter and the bag are moved to the evacuation area and then the bag is sealed and the filter in the bag is removed from the evacuation area.;EFFECT: technical result is expanded range of technical means for the described purpose.;1 cl, 2 dwg
