FIELD: production of metal nanopowders.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the low-voltage pulsed electric arc production of a metal nanopowder in a liquid medium. The method includes the installation of two electrodes in a container with a liquid medium, the supply of voltage pulses to the electrodes with the formation of plasma in the liquid medium and the formation of nanoparticles from the electrode material, the precipitation of powder nanoparticles. The first electrode is installed with the possibility of vibration with a frequency of (2-20)⋅103 Hz on a mechanical vibrator and with the possibility of reciprocating movement along the entire length of the second electrode. As the second electrode, a strip of the same material as the first electrode is used, which is fixed at the bottom of the container with a liquid medium. The pulses are supplied from a low voltage generator with the provision of a forced short circuit and a break in the electrical circuit. Unipolar pulses with a voltage of 1-30 V and a pulsed frequency of (2-60)⋅103 Hz or bipolar pulses with a voltage from 1 V to 10 V and a pulsed frequency above 6⋅103 Hz to 60⋅103 Hz are supplied.;EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the yield of the fine fraction of the nanopowder while reducing the mass and size characteristics of the generator. ;1 cl, 1 ex
