The invention belongs to the field of polymer, in particular to the field of polyester fiber, in particular to a manufacturing method of color synthetic fiber and its application. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for making colored synthetic fibers from isosorbide based semi crystalline thermoplastic polyester, the fibers being colored by an aqueous solution of at least one disperse dye. The invention also relates to a disperse dye dyed fiber and its application in the field of furniture.Textiles or sporting goods. According to the method of the invention, colored synthetic fibers with improved dyeing quality and stability can be obtained.
