The image generation device (4) includes a light source (12), a display (14) and a cooling device (3).The light source (12) is arranged to illuminate the front face of the display (14), and the display (14) includes a matrix (22) composed of elements whose transmissivity can be controlled with time.The cooling device (3) comprises an evaporator (32), which is fluidly connected with the condenser (34) through a first pipe and a second pipe to form a closed loop in which the two-phase fluid circulates.The evaporator (32) is arranged to remove heat generated by the screen (14) by extending to at least a portion of the periphery of the screen (14).(Figure 3)
