This disclosure pertains to a method for producing metallurgical cokes from non coke raw coals.The method includes forming a pellet by increasing the density of non coking raw material coal.High density pellets are placed in a plurality of bricks in a microwave oven and subjected to pyrolysis.For thermal decomposition, pellets are heated by heating pellets in the microwave oven at a predetermined temperature under an inert atmosphere of atmospheric pressure, and then pellets in the microwave oven are cooled below the inert atmosphere.This process converts non coke raw coal into metallurgical coke in a faster time without any use of the susceptor.
