In general practice, data on rock samples from the excavation site is received.A thermal dynamic interaction model is generated based on the rock sample data.The thermal mechanical interaction model is used to identify the excavation rate and mechanical damage around the perforation channel through modeling of the heat emitted onto the exposed surface of the rock sample by the laser beam emitted from the laser beam source.The specified excavation rate and mechanical damage are used to assess the effectiveness of a laser beam source to be used for drilling in the excavation site.
