The present invention relates to a field of hearing aids and earphones.More specifically, the present invention relates to an earphone mounted on an ear and a general purpose adapter for hearing aids.The general purpose adapter plays the role of introducing the amplified sound of the hearing aid or the earphone into the auditory canal.The adapter has a trapezoidal hollow segment (5) disposed separately from each other, and the hollow segment has a side wall (15) radially decreasing from the back side to the proximal side along the locking nipple (2) which is positioned centrally and accommodates the sound outlet connector of the hearing aid.The hollow segment (5) is connected to the proximal end (6) of the locking nipple (2) together with the proximal end (14) of the contact surface (1).The adapter has a shortened elliptical shape.The adapter can be automatically adapted to the shape of the auditory canal.Diagram
