PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust gap adjustment method for a rotor storage unit in which a movement regulation member for adjusting a movable amount of a rotor can be installed at an appropriate position without being returned back once after the movement regulating member is pushed into a housing.SOLUTION: A revolving shaft 7 is displaced in an axial direction in such a way that a movable amount of a rotor (a thrust flange 16) is set to zero, an axial directional position of the revolving shaft 7 kept under a state in which the movable amount of the rotor becomes zero is set as a reference position, the revolving shaft 7 is displaced from the reference position in an axial direction in such a way that a predetermined movable amount of the rotor in its axial direction may be attained, after this displacement, a movement regulation member 30 is abutted against the revolving shaft 7 in an axial direction and fixed to a housing (a cylinder block 2). For example, the movement regulation member 30 is pushed in to be abutted against the revolving shaft 7 in an axial direction, the pushing-in of the movement regulation member 30 is stopped at a position where the pushing-in load of the movement regulation member 30 rapidly changes and then the movement regulation member 30 is fixed to the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
