The glass composition of the present invention, expressed in mole%, SiO 2 58% or more and less than 70%, B 2 O 3 0 to 14%, Al 2 O 3 10 to 16%, MgO 0 to 12.5%, CaO 0 to 11% , SrO 0~3%, ZnO 0~3%, Li 2 O 4.5~11%, Na 2 O 0~2%, K 2 O 2~7%, TiO 2 0~0.8%, ZrO 2 0~0.5% , SnO 2 contains 0-0.2%, and Li 2 O+Na 2 O+K 2 O is in the range of 6.5-13%. The glass composition of the present invention is suitable for production by the float method, and also suitable for chemical strengthening. Further, the coefficient of thermal expansion of the glass composition of the present invention is small, and the glass composition of the present invention has properties suitable for a substrate glass for a display.
