A stage light illumination device (100), comprising a COB light source (1), an optical assembly (2) and an aperture (3). The COB light source (1) comprises a COB substrate and a plurality of LED chips (11) mounted on the COB substrate; the optical assembly (2) is located between the COB light source (1) and the aperture (3), and is used for refracting a light beam emitted by each LED chip (11) at least once, so that each refracted light beam converges at a set position of the aperture (3) with a light spot having a set size; and the aperture (3) comprises a light-transmitting hole (31) penetrating therethrough, and is used for cutting a light spot converged thereon, and transmitting the cut light spot to a zoom lens group (4) for projection. Compared with the related art, the stage light illumination device (100) reduces the light-emitting area, reduces the amount of optical expansion, and facilitates secondary optical design; and said device is simple in structure, easy to produce, and low-cost.
