Novel Bacillus subtilis natto Isolated from Korean Traditional Soy Bean Paste with High Productivity for High Purity Trans Type Menaquinone-7 and the Use Thereof

The present invention relates to a novel Bacillus subtilis natto bacterium that produces trans-type menaquinone-7 at a high concentration and hardly produces menaquinone-6, and a method for producing menaquinone-7 using the same. Using the above strain, it is possible to prepare a health functional food and pharmaceutical composition effective for various adult diseases including cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis treatment.
