The present invention relates to a transgenic methanogen and its use for the production of alpha-humulene from methane, and the transgenic methanogens of the present invention are known to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and cancer-repelling effects. It is very useful because it can produce alpha-humulene and use methane, which is a low-cost carbon source, not glucose-based, so it can reduce the production cost.
