FIELD: pharmaceuticals.;SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely, to a replication inhibitor of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome COVID-19. The natural melanin from the basidiomycetes Inonotus obliquus is used, obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of Inonotus obliquus, acid precipitation, dissolution of the precipitate in ammonia water and drying of the final product at a temperature not exceeding 30-40ºC, as a replication inhibitor of SARS coronavirus.
