FIELD: pipeline protection.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for protecting pipelines from accidents caused by karst sinkholes. The method of pipeline protection involves opening the pipeline and installing concrete piles on both sides of it, covered with a metal shell. In the concrete of the upper end of the pile, a conical chamber and a guide are formed. The pipeline is installed on a bed with cables encircling it, the ends of which with sensors installed on them for monitoring the stress-strain state of the pipeline and the integrity of the cable are attached to the chambers. A cover is attached to the shell. In the chamber, two grooves are formed, connected to guides placed in them, made of a current-conducting material with slots and adjustment limiters. The electrical contact and current lead are strengthened to the inner surface of the chamber. A peephole is mounted in the cover, and one end of a plate made of steel is attached to its inner surface, and the other free end is inserted into the slot of the guide.
