PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food composition for suppressing an increase in blood remnant-like lipoprotein cholesterol concentration due to a meal, and a method for suppressing an increase in blood remnant-like lipoprotein cholesterol concentration in order to prevent atherosclerosis. SOLUTION: A food composition containing psyllium seed coat as an active ingredient, which suppresses an increase in blood remnant-like lipoprotein cholesterol concentration after a meal. In addition, it is a method of suppressing an increase in blood remnant-like lipoprotein cholesterol concentration after a meal, and is a method of ingesting a psyllium seed coat swollen with water before or with a meal.
