Consensus of shared blockchain data storage based on error correction codes

Methods, systems and devices are disclosed herein that include computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium to store blockchain data. One of the methods involves retrieving a plurality of blocks from a blockchain node in a blockchain network, encoding the plurality of blocks using error correction coding (ECC) to generate a plurality of encoded blocks, and a plurality of blocks. For each encoded block in the encoded block: partitioning the encoded block into multiple datasets, calculating hash values of multiple datasets, multiple datasets, hash values, and multiple blockchains. Sending a request comprising at least one of a data storage scheme providing allocations of a plurality of datasets to a node, accepting a request from a number of blockchain nodes equal to at least the number of one or more datasets of information bits. Receiving responses for, and sending a notification to adopt the data storage scheme.
