16,461. Seydel, G. E. O. Sept. 15. Curtains, suspending; bedsteads.- Relates to a stand for suspending mosquito curtains over bedsteads &c. The curtain described in Specification No. 8076, A.D. 1900, is suspended from a hooked arm f, bent to fit into the upper end of a solid or tubular pillar c, in one piece or in several telescopic or fishing-rod jointed sections. The lower end of the pillar fits in a hole in a block a, and a short rod e passes through a hole in the block and pillar and is engaged with an eye g secured to the floor or ground. Several rods such as e may be inserted in the holes d to form an extended base. The rod e may be weighted at the outer end. The arm f may be extended and counterweighted, or the extension may carry a second curtain. The pillar c may be guyed by a suitable cord, and the arm f may have a cord connected to an upward extension of the pillar so as to form a stay.
