Lamp-shade or globe holders.-Figs. 3, 6, and 8 show alternative constructions of holders for supporting from above the shades or globes of gas, electric, or other lights. The holders proper E2, E3, E4, E5, E6 are mounted upon a ring A attached to the bracket or fitting D, and are actuated for the insertion or removal of the shade or globe B by compressing the spring caps e2, Figs. 3 and 6, or the ends o, Fig. 8, the springs f or p restoring the holders to their operative position as soon as the hand is removed. Springs K' bearing against the lower end of the shade or globe prevent it from rocking or vibrating. Modifications of the details of construction are permissible.
