Equipments and accoutrements.-In this equipment, there are no straps crossing each other on the chest and nothing that requires to be passed over the head in putting on. It consists of a waistbelt a, braces c', c2 and two haversacks l1, l2. The haversacks are fastened together, and one strap k1, k3 of each haversack is led along the braces and fastened at its further end to a strap k4 of the other haversack. The ammunition is held in " falling pockets " n1. The bayonet frog consists of a closely-fitting jacket s provided with a strap t and buckle for fastening over the bottom of the bayonet ; it is suspended from the waistbelt. The equipment may be used by gamekeepers, postmen, and other persons carrying weights. The Provisional Specification states that the pockets n' may be used to carry other articles than cartridges.
