Metal powder.- Lead in the form of an impalpable powder is obtained by subjecting the metal to the action of rapidly-moving beaters, or by other processes, and is employed for making lead pigments, white lead, litharge, red lead, or other lead compounds, or for mixing with other substances. The pulverizing action is preferably carried to such an extent that the material can be diffused through air or other gases, in which condition it may be treated with chemical agents.
