Pin boxes.-A suitabie carrying-strip c, Figs. 1 and 2, for pins &c. a, is coiled within a holder d, which is oscillated about the pivotal bar l on the outer frame e by pressure applied to the fingerpiece g and by the reaction of the spring d'. Pins &c. are raised into position for removal by their points coming into contact with the " pusher- "out" piece i, and are fed forward through the guide d5 by the cranked bar h' sliding and turning in guides h3 on the holder d and held by a slot j in the frame e, the extension h6 of the bar serving as a restoring-weight. A spring d7 prevents the backward motion, and controls the forward motion, of the carrier c. The lid f with curved sides is pivoted at l. In a modification described in detail in the Provisional Specification, the pin &c. carrier is stationary, and the feed-bar and pusher-piece are reciprocated from the finger-piece.
