Hose, connecting to taps &c.-A union for hose pipes comprises a socket A carrying a packing-ring B of elastic material, and a spigot C which is passed through the ring B and secured by a bayonet or other fastening, the tightness of the joint being dependent on the pressure of the elastic ring on the spigot and socket.
