20,597. RÚdei, E. Sept. 16. Money boxes.- Relates to a combined savings-box and calendar, in which the date indicated is changed by dropping in a coin. A pointer 1, operated by pawl. and - ratchet me - chanism, moves over a dial bearing numbers corresponding to the days of the month. The coin falls down the shoot 9 and forces aside the lever 6a, thereby actuating the pawl 4 and ratchet-wheel 3. A stop 12 prevents disengagement of the pawl when the apparatus is inverted. The dial may be movable and the pointer fixed, or the dial may rotate behind a screen with a hole in it. The names of the day and the month are changed by hand-wheels.
