Fastenings for doors; coin action ; actuating-mechanism ; registers. -In that type of coin-freed latch in which the coin forms a connexion between the latch and a slide, and in which the coin later comes in contact with a lever E pivoted to the casing for operating the "engaged" indicator, the lever E forces back another lever K pivoted to the casing and carrying a pin k2, which operates the counting-apparatus H through a lever J. The lever K remains in the position in which it is placed by the lever E, as shown in Fig. 6, until the door is opened from inside by the follower D acting directly on the latch, when an arm d' of this follower causes the lever K to resume its original position. When the latch is withdrawn from outside by the attendant's key, the register is not actuated.
