5181. Perry, H. L., and Chambers, H. W. March 1. Pontoon rafts.-Buoyant deck seats which may be used as rafts are constructed in two portions a, b fitted with air-tanks and life-lines. The lower bars g of the upper portions a are adapted to interlock with the upper bars or slats h of the lower portion b when in use as a deck seat. In addition, stub plates l are fitted to prevent longitudinal movement. The seats may be formed without a back as shown or with a back in the centre.
