14,195. Wilson, W. June 19. [Addition to 1655/13.] Overwinding, preventing.-The mechanism for preventing overwinding described in the parent Specification is modified in the following respects. (1) The reciprocating block 0 is actnated from the winding-drum shaft F by chain- and-sprocket gear H. The shaft J of the lower sprocket-wheel carries a pinion engaging a rack N secured to the block. (2) The catches Q, Q1, which are tripped at the required moment by standards S, S1, are arranged to engage notches on the curved face of the sectors P, P1. (3) The slide X, which co-operates with the arms U, U' to support the sectors P, P', is held up by a counterweighted lever Z1.
