Theatrical appliances.-A shoe for artistic or theatrical dancing comprises an enlarged base member, such as a snow - shoe, having a shoe of the general type of a moccasin secured thereto in snch a manner as to hold the shoe substantially seated on the base at all times. The enlarged base member B has forward and rearward cross members C, D, the whole forming a framework which is laced with catgut. The moccasin F is secured on a longitudinal member E, extending between the cross-members, by attaching - devices, such as nails or rivets, throughout its entire length. In a modification, the moccasin is secured to the member E bv lever-operated clamps similar to those used for clamping skates.
