Body armour.-Sheet armour for body wear, or for protection of aeroplanes, ships, automobiles, and cars of dirigible balloons, is constructed of steel strips b arranged on end and strung on steel wires run through holes in the strips. The strips are spaced by tubes strung on the wires, or by wedges or the like. The mesh thus constructed may be surrounded by a frame a and enclosed first in cotton and then in india-rubber cloth.
