114,400. Mathews, T. Nov. 13, 1917. Puppet shows.-Consists of an arrangement by which the head of the performer serves as the head of the puppet. An upright back-piece 23 is provided with a recess in which the performer's neck rests so that his head 13. projects forward. A jointed figure 15 is hung by a hook in the recess and the jointed limbs 16 are actuated by cords 20 passing through notches 21 in the back-piece. The back-piece may be fitted with a platform 2 surrounded by upright front pieces 5, 6, 7 hinged together at 8, 9, 10. By raising the platform, the front pieces may be folded flat on the back-piece.
