[Class 145 (i).] Tenons are cut in a planing or like machine by the use of an attachment comprising a plate 9 sliding by means of rods 6 along the table, the work 11 being fixed thereto by a clamp 10 so that one side of the tenon is cut out as the work slides over the cutter block. Each side and both ends of the work are thus treated, suitable stops being provided. An edge-cutting blade 17 is mounted beside the planing blade to finish off the edge of the tenon, and a second similar blade 18 is mounted to balance the block.
