[Class 113 (ii).] Boats of the V-bottom t y p e are made from two flat sheets of material as shown in Fig. 1 with V-sections cut out along the lines 1-3, 2-3. The halves are then bent into boat form, the V-section being closed to form the chine 4-3 which disappears at the bows. The material of the flat sheets may be sheet metal, plywood, single or double planking.
