[Class 17 (i)] Removing shoes from lasts.-Relates to the type of machine described in the parent Specification and consists in using an inflated member for removing the shoe. An ordinary wheel of automobile type is rotated by belt from a shaft 24 and carries an ordinary pneumatic tyre 30. Adjacent to this is a last support 40 on a lever pivoted at 34 and having an arm 42 linked to a treadle 44 for bringing the shoe into contact with the tyre for shoe removal. The link 50 between the treadle and the lever is adjustable, and is connected with the lever by a universal joint.
