[Class 59] Apparatus for crushing coconut husks comprises two pivoted jaws A, B faced with projections a, b and moved towards and away from each other by cranks or eccentrics aSP3/SP, bSP3/SP on a driven shaft D one jaw being mounted on a fixed pivot a' at its lower end and the other, also at its lower end, on a movable pivot bSP1/SP which moves downward as the jaws close. For this purpose the pivot bSP1/SP is mounted on an eccentrically-rhounted arm F under the constraint of a link G. The projections a, b diminish towards the lower ends of the jaws which are formed with flaring parts C at the top.
