[Class 108 (ii)] The body of a motor omnibus or like vehicle is supported by springs c which extend later ally from the longi tudinal a and cooperate with abutments in brackets d on the sides of the body. As shown the inner ends of the springs c are anchored in hollow transverse members b secured to the longitudinals a and the abutments comprise hardened steel rollers f carried by bolts g mounted between the sides of the brackets d. To limit lateral movement of the body relative to the chassis the outer end of each spring c is cranked. The floor boards j of the body are supported at each side by the brackets d and light bearers of channel, angle or other section are secured at intervals to the underside of the boards to support them against the weight of the passengers.
