[Also in Group XXVIII] A compressor piston 26 is screw-threaded to its rod 25 thereby allowing relative axial adjustment and is held against rotation by a tension bolt 43 screwed into an axial bore of the rod. Portions 36, 37 at opposite ends of the threaded portion 40 of the rod are machined to fit corresponding bores 38, 39 in the piston 26.
