A soil cultivator comprises a narrow blade 10 of small depth attached at each of its ends to a handle by a curved portion 14, the parts 14 being bent inwardly at 15 to permit them both to be fixed on a ferrule at the end of the handle. The cultivator head is formed from a single length of steel rod, the middle of which is forged or ground to provide two flat surfaces intersecting to form the cutting edge of the blade.
